of Orthopaedic Medicine since 1994.

London.

  • FFSEM (2002):                                               Foundation Fellow & Honorary Secretary to the 

Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine, RCPI &

Current Post:

Consultant Orthopaedic Physician:   assessing, investigating and treating musculoskeletal injuries particularly soft tissue injuries including whiplash and low back pain as private sole practitioner since 1992.

  • Consultant Sports Medicine Physician:        assessing investigating and treating

recreational, elite and professional athletes for sports-related traumatic and overuse injuries since 1992.  Professional Team Physician to the Professional Connacht Rugby Team 1998- 2000 and Irish National Women’s Soccer Team.

University Lecturer at National University of Ireland, Galway:

Permanent university lecturer in Sport & Exercise Physiology at NUI, Galway.  Visiting Lecturer to Trinity College, Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland.  Visiting clinical examiner to University College Dublin. 

Programme Director of the Masters of Science in Sports & Exercise Medicine (MSc SEM) and Masters of Science in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy (MSc SEP) at NUI, Galway.
