1998 Awarded, with first-class honours, the degree of Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Anatomy from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
2000 Awarded, with first-class honours, the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from the National University of Ireland, Galway, having gained first position in my class and 8 gold medals in the final examinations.
2002 Admitted as a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
2004 Awarded the Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and the Donald MacLeod medal from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
2004 Admitted as a member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, RCPI and RCSI.
2005 Awarded the Certificate in Travel Health by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
