Who can be a Member
ECOSEP proposes a broad membership of sports & exercise physicians, associated members particularly medical doctors involved, working or teaching at the sport medical field, trainees in sports and exercise medicine, and scientific contributors who are those currently teaching the appropriate aspects of sport and exercise medicine from other specialties and scientific communities. ECOSEP also will welcome medical students who wish to specialise in this growing and important specialty.
E.CO.S.E.P welcome Medical Doctors as Members. Registration of a new member is possible following a written application and by decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting convened by the Chairman, and provided the following conditions are met:
- Full members
- Members (full) must have specialised in Sports & Exercise Medicine at a Medical university in an EU Member State
- OR Members must have obtained an academic title in sports medicine, Diploma or MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine from a medical university or a recognized training from a recognized medical organization in an EU Member State
All E.C.O.S.E.P. members, to maintain membership must attend educational courses/congresses that the scientific committee of ECOSEP will organize or approve .
All E.C.O.S.E.P. members must practice the profession of Sports & Exercise Medicine.
The members vote must be unanimous for a new member to be admitted. In the event of registration of new fellows, their registration fee shall be determined by the General Meeting following a recommendation by the Chairman. The registration of a new member shall be made known to the authorities in accordance with the law.
Outgoing members shall be refunded the fee in the event that it has not been used to cover losses suffered by the corporation.
- Associated Members : All Medical doctors involved ,working or teaching at the sport medical field and Trainees in Sports & Exercise Medicine - 60€ /annually
- Sudents Membership : based upon presentation of the curriculum vitae - 50€/annualy
- All associated and student members will get a 3 months free online access to the BJSM.
