Dr Michael Petrou comes from Cyprus. He was awarded his Medical Doctor degree from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1994. He also holds a Masters of Science degree on Sports Injury (Sports Medicine) from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
As a primary care sports physician, Dr Petrou has considerable experience in the field of sports medicine. He has worked with various sports federations in addition to serving as team doctor to many national teams and professional or amateur teams or clubs. He also works with numerous competitive or recreational individual athletes, as well as with individuals who use exercise as part of their treatment of certain chronic diseases.
